avani: pāla — of warrior kings;

saṅghaiḥ: the groups;

bhīṣmaḥ: Bhīṣmadeva;

droṇaḥ: Droṇācārya;

sūta: putraḥ — Karṇa;

tathā: also;

asau: that;

saha: with;

asmadīyaiḥ: our;

api: also;

yodha: mukhyaiḥ — chiefs among the warriors;

vaktrāṇi: mouths;

tvaramāṇāḥ: rushing;

viśanti: are entering;
