जातस्य हि ध्रुवो मृत्युर्ध्रुवं जन्म मृतस्य च।

तस्मादपरिहार्येऽर्थे न त्वं शोचितुमर्हसि

Transliteration

jātasya hi dhruvo mṛityur dhruvaṁ janma mṛitasya cha
tasmād aparihārye ’rthe na tvaṁ śhochitum arhasi

Synonyms

avyakta: ādīni — in the beginning unmanifested;

bhūtāni: all that are created;

vyakta: manifested;

madhyāni: in the middle;

bhārata: O descendant of Bharata;

avyakta: nonmanifested;

nidhanāni: when vanquished;

eva: it is all like that;

tatra: therefore;

: what;

paridevanā: lamentation .;

English Meaning

All created beings are unmanifest in their beginning, manifest in their interim state, and unmanifest again when annihilated. So what need is there for lamentation?
