नात्यश्नतस्तु योगोऽस्ति न चैकान्तमनश्नतः।
न चातिस्वप्नशीलस्य जाग्रतो नैव चार्जुन
न चातिस्वप्नशीलस्य जाग्रतो नैव चार्जुन
Transliteration
nātyaśhnatastu yogo ’sti na chaikāntam anaśhnataḥ
na chāti-svapna-śhīlasya jāgrato naiva chārjuna
na chāti-svapna-śhīlasya jāgrato naiva chārjuna
Synonyms

āhāra: eating;
vihārasya: recreation;
yukta: regulated;
ceṣṭasya: of one who works for maintenance;
karmasu: in discharging duties;
yukta: regulated;
svapna: avabodhasya — sleep and wakefulness;
yogaḥ: practice of yoga;
bhavati: becomes;
duḥkha: hā — diminishing pains .;
English Meaning
He who is regulated in his habits of eating, sleeping, recreation and work can mitigate all material pains by practicing the yoga system.
