आवृतं ज्ञानमेतेन ज्ञानिनो नित्यवैरिणा।
कामरूपेण कौन्तेय दुष्पूरेणानलेन च
कामरूपेण कौन्तेय दुष्पूरेणानलेन च
Transliteration
āvṛitaṁ jñānam etena jñānino nitya-vairiṇā
kāma-rūpeṇa kaunteya duṣhpūreṇānalena cha
kāma-rūpeṇa kaunteya duṣhpūreṇānalena cha
Synonyms
indriyāṇi: the senses;
manaḥ: the mind;
buddhiḥ: the intelligence;
asya: of this lust;
adhiṣṭhānam: sitting place;
ucyate: is called;
etaiḥ: by all these;
vimohayati: bewilders;
eṣaḥ: this lust;
jñānam: knowledge;
āvṛtya: covering;
dehinam: of the embodied .;
English Meaning
The senses, the mind and the intelligence are the sitting places of this lust. Through them lust covers the real knowledge of the living entity and bewilders him.
