योगस्थः कुरु कर्माणि सङ्गं त्यक्त्वा धनञ्जय।
सिद्ध्यसिद्ध्योः समो भूत्वा समत्वं योग उच्यते
सिद्ध्यसिद्ध्योः समो भूत्वा समत्वं योग उच्यते
Transliteration
yoga-sthaḥ kuru karmāṇi saṅgaṁ tyaktvā dhanañjaya
siddhy-asiddhyoḥ samo bhūtvā samatvaṁ yoga uchyate
siddhy-asiddhyoḥ samo bhūtvā samatvaṁ yoga uchyate
Synonyms
dūreṇa: discard it at a long distance;
hi: certainly;
avaram: abominable;
karma: activity;
buddhi: yogāt — on the strength of Kṛṣṇa consciousness;
dhanam: jaya — O conqueror of wealth;
buddhau: in such consciousness;
śaraṇam: full surrender;
anviccha: try for;
kṛpaṇāḥ: misers;
phala: hetavaḥ — those desiring fruitive results .;
English Meaning
O Dhanañjaya, keep all abominable activities far distant by devotional service, and in that consciousness surrender unto the Lord. Those who want to enjoy the fruits of their work are misers.
