सञ्जय उवाच
एवमुक्त्वा हृषीकेशं गुडाकेशः परन्तप।
न योत्स्य इति गोविन्दमुक्त्वा तूष्णीं बभूव ह
एवमुक्त्वा हृषीकेशं गुडाकेशः परन्तप।
न योत्स्य इति गोविन्दमुक्त्वा तूष्णीं बभूव ह
Transliteration
sañjaya uvācha
evam-uktvā hṛiṣhīkeśhaṁ guḍākeśhaḥ parantapa
na yotsya iti govindam uktvā tūṣhṇīṁ babhūva ha
evam-uktvā hṛiṣhīkeśhaṁ guḍākeśhaḥ parantapa
na yotsya iti govindam uktvā tūṣhṇīṁ babhūva ha
Synonyms

hṛṣīkeśaḥ: the master of the senses, Kṛṣṇa;
prahasan: smiling;
iva: like that;
bhārata: O Dhṛtarāṣṭra, descendant of Bharata;
senayoḥ: of the armies;
ubhayoḥ: of both parties;
madhye: between;
viṣīdantam: unto the lamenting one;
idam: the following;
vacaḥ: words .;
English Meaning
O descendant of Bharata, at that time Kṛṣṇa, smiling, in the midst of both the armies, spoke the following words to the grief-stricken Arjuna.
